Uncle Function is a NYC-based sketch comedy group featuring Chris Cafero, Russell Daniels, Jessica Frey, Douglas Goodhart, Joseph Lymous, and Gianmarco Soresi.

This is a sketch team of serious actors. This sketch team can act. This sketch team can act the shit out of a sketch. One of the members of the sketch team has booked a national commercial. One of the members of the sketch team only does Shakespeare and sketch. So, you know, high brow. One of the members of Uncle Function will never actually be an uncle. And it isn't because of infertility.
Just like your real Uncles, we'll make you laugh, cry, think, feel moderately uncomfortable, and then send you back to your parents forever changed.
Chris Cafero
Chris Cafero is an actor, writer, producer and director based in Los Angeles. His acting credits include INVENTING ANNA (Netflix), WILL TRENT (ABC), THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL (Amazon Prime), THE OTHER TWO (HBOMax), CHICAGO FIRE (NBC), BULL (CBS), BILLIONS (Showtime), and many more. Chris was nominated for an Audie award with the cast of Billy Crystal’s Off-Broadway play Have a Nice Day, alongside Crystal, Annette Bening, and Kevin Kline. He has performed comedy as part of the Netflix is a Joke Festival, Just For Laughs Festival, New York City SketchFest, and Austin SketchFest. He is a founding member, writer, performer and managing director of Uncle Function, 'one of NYC's premier sketch comedy troupes' (BroadwayWorld.com). Douglas Goodhart
Douglas Goodhart is an Actor, Comedian and Multi-instrumentalist based in NYC. As a writer he is a founder of Uncle Function, A sketch comedy show featured in Time out and the New York Times. He also Co-Created and starred in We Put The Spring in Springfield: The Music of the Simpsons, an Award winning cabaret show. Stage credits include; Bachelorette show (off Broadway), British Invasion (Papermill), Once, Jekyll And Hyde, Urinetown. TV credits include; "North Palm Wrestling" (MTV)
Joseph Lymous
The newest Uncle, Joseph Lymous, is a New Orleans born actor/comedian/puppeteer/producer. He was recently cast in the upcoming Tim Robinson HBO series, The Chair Company. In 2024 he performed with Uncle Function in the Netflix is a Joke Festival in Los Angeles. Joseph is a 2023 CBS Showcase alum and a 2021 Just For Laughs New Face. You can catch him in The Other Two (MAX) and Awkwafina is Nora from Queens (Comedy Central). His work as a puppeteer spans from the stage at The Metropolitan Opera House to the set of Dying for Sex (FX) and Hello Tomorrow! (AppleTV) Joseph is currently developing his original tv series with Abominable Pictures... and as exciting as this all is, he mostly wants to be remembered for the fact that back in 2019 Beyoncé shared a video of him shakin his a$$ in her Instagram story.
Gianmarco Soresi
Gianmarco Soresi is a New York-based stand-up comedian, actor, and creator known for his sharp societal observation and spry, energetic stage presence. Gianmarco effortlessly commands a room with his animated style, blending upbeat candor with dark comedic beats — which has garnered him critical acclaim from NPR, Esquire, The Atlantic, Buzzfeed, ABC News, and many more. He’s performed stand-up on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central, Don’t Tell, The Real Housewives of New York, and was selected as a JFL New Face in 2022. He was also featured on Netflix’s recent multi-comic stand-up series “Verified Stand-Up” which released on the platform in November 2023. Gianmarco has also acted in Billy Crystal's Here Today, Netflix’s Bonding, Hustlers, The Last OG, and is the host of the popular podcast “The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi.” Gianmarco is currently on his “Drama King” Tour throughout North America, taking the tour internationally this summer.
